About awana

Awana Davis is a local program that is a part of the larger Awana, a global, nonprofit Christian ministry. Our club is one of the tens of thousands around the world. Awana provides us with the Bible-based curriculum that we focus on.

Awana offers a fun, proven approach for early evangelism and discipleship. Scripture-based programs and exciting games attract families, promote Bible literacy and help kids develop lifelong faith in Christ. Kids represent the greatest opportunity to make a long-term impact on our world for Christ. Awana establishes welcoming, supportive environments where kids, from every background and cultural setting, learn how a personal relationship with Christ affects their everyday lives.

About

Our ministries

We offer three age-based programs within our weekly Wednesday meetings.  For all clubbers, the meeting is divided into 3 segments:  Large Group time, Small Group time, and Games.

Cubbies

Cubbies celebrates the spiritual potential of preschoolers by helping them develop respect for God, His Son and His Word.

Preschoolers can learn Bible truths through story time, crafts, games, and other fun activities. Cubbies helps you lead your child to God early so your child will respect and trust Him for life.

AGES 3-5

Sparks

GRADES K-2

Sparks ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ.

The handbooks, combined with Large Group Time lessons, take your child on a journey through the entire Bible.

T&T

GRADES 3-6

T&T stands for Truth and Training. It helps older children explore some of the fundamental ideas of Christianity and ask questions about God and the Bible, guiding them to grow in Christ's grace.

Handbooks, large-group lessons, and small group discussions deepen a child's knowledge about God and His Word and teach how to put that knowledge into action in everyday life.

Approved workmen are
not ashamed

The name Awana stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed," which comes from the verse, 2 Timothy 2:15:

"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

This serves as an encouragement for both children and leaders to diligently study the Bible and live their lives dedicated to God.
